Background[]
Not much is known about Yuri's life before the apocalypse. However, she appeared to have some training as a medical care professional and was working as a senior caretaker.
Appearance[]
Yuri is noted to look young for her age. She is of pale complexion with shoulder length black hair. She keeps her hair tied in a bandana, exposing the bangs. She wears a pink hoodie and sweatpants.
After escaping Green Roof, Yuri no longer ties her hair and now wears a red bandana overhead. She also wears a brown winter coat and fanny pack.
Personality[]
Yuri is a pragmatist at heart. She is willing to do normally amoral things, such as loot bodies, to stay alive. She is also fine with casually mentioning her mortality in normal conversation. She tends to be sassy when questioned about her actions. She is very level headed in otherwise extremely stressful situations. Despite her willingness to loot bodies, she does have a moral code, noting that Gapsu was more like a monster even when he was human.
Plot[]
Yuri and her senior patient Mr. Ahn are surviving in a random 11th floor apartment building when they overhear a commotion in the hallway. They quickly rush to Hyun Cha and Wook Pyeon's aid, saving them. Yuri brings them back to the apartment and insists on healing them. Yuri is shocked to learn Hyun is infected, but then is annoyed when Mr. Ahn's hostility turns out to be a prank. Mr. Ahn offers to assist the two survivors, and Yuri goes along despite his protests.
The group immediately encounters a sleeping Speed Monster in the stairwell and try to sneak past it. However, when Yuri attempts to pass, it wakes up and attempts to kill both Yuri and Wook. Hyun, however, manages to catch its attention. When Wook wakes up, Yuri gets him to help with her asthma attack. She notes that her inhaler is running low and she needs a new one soon. The two eventually catch up with Hyun and Mr. Ahn. Yuri stays with the two kids in Dusik Hanh's apartment until they are given the all clear to use the elevator.
After they return, Yuri is assigned to a team to clear out the garage. Yuri sadly notes her inhaler has ran out, and begs Hyuk Lee to include a run to the hospital to get a new one, but it took Hyun's threat of abandoning the team to convince Hyuk to do so. Yuri then attempts to see off Wook on his mission, but is forced to fight the Steroid Monster. One of the criminals that rescued them, Ihyun Jo, gives her a new inhaler. As the criminals take over, Hyunshik Lim attempts to divide the survivors through his storytelling, which prompts an argument between Yuri and Hyein. Later that evening, as monsters start overrunning the apartment, Yuri sees Ji-Eun get abducted and killed by a monster. She and Hyein run upstairs, but separate over an agreement on where it is safe. Yuri eventually catches up with Hyein, saving her from Gapsu Seo. Gapsu, however, is in the process of monsterification and therefore has the ability to survive what would normally be fatal wounds. Gapsu notices a Mysterious Woman behind the two, calling it a monster as it was related to a monster attack he survived; however, Gapsu notes he isn't fully a monster and will bleed out. Yuri and Hywein are both shocked at a normal, yet naked, human appearing out of nowhere. The two get into an argument which ends when Hywein forcefully grabs the crossbow and kills the woman. Hywein, in a stress-induced moment of insanity, attempts to kill Yuri to keep everyone else from finding out, but Yuri literally slaps some sense into her. After several other survivors arrive, Yuri joins them in fleeing to the roof.
Yuri explains to the rest of the survivors that she wants to survive because she wants to re-unite with the person she has feelings for, which is implied to be Wook. She is the first survivor to evacuate, carrying Sook on her back. She is helpless, however, when she notices an explosion on the roof.
Eventually, the survivors find a camp ran by other survivors of the city and the remnants of the military. Yuri continues to train with her crossbow. She talks with Wook, presumably about their relationship. She greets Hyun Cha when he suddenly arrives at the camp.
Relationships[]
Wook Pyeon[]
She and Wook seem to share a sort of flirty-romantic relationship but they put that to aside and focus on taking care of the monsters. Sometimes they would blush around each other whenever speaking to each other. Eventually, Yuri does confirm that she does have romantic feelings for Wook.
Some time after escaping the apartments, the two appear to be in a relationship.
Hyun Cha[]
Hyun and Yuri rarely interact. However, it is assumed they have a positive relationship, because he considers her a friend. Hyun threatened to sit-out a mission if they could not also retrieve an inhaler, which is vital to her health. Yuri also joyfully greets Hyun at the survivor camp.
Seop Ahn[]
Seop Ahn was Yuri's charge while she was working as an elder care aide. The two appear to have an amicable relationship. Seop Ahn was concerned for Yuri's safety, requesting her to stay hidden while he went with Wook and Hyun. Yuri appeared to be saddened over Seop's death, but didn't have time to dwell on it.
Hyuk Lee[]
Yuri's relationship with Hyuk doesnt really express, but it says that they were friends
Hyein So[]
