Übermensch (Supermen in German), also known as Evolved Monsters, are the result of former monsters evolving, and have since regained their human forms. However, their goals are largely unknown, as most of the few who have appeared in the series appear to have lost their emotions and identities associated with their past lives. Some, such as the “Female Evolved”, seem to be searching for candidates to monsterize in order to create more Übermensch and view humanity as an inferior species. But, even after evolving, Hyun has still been shown to possess some amounts of his human emotions, and the possibility may ring true for the currently evolved Hyuk, as well.

Quick Answers

What is the process of a monster evolving into an Übermensch? toggle section
A monster transforms into an Übermensch, or Evolved Monster, when the human consciousness within it fulfills all desires and ceases to find pleasure. This initiates 'evolution', turning the monster into a cocoon, a stage where it's highly susceptible to destruction. Post-evolution, the Übermensch reverts to human form, albeit devoid of past emotions and identities. Some Übermensch aim to monsterize others to propagate their species.

The 'Female Evolved' is a key figure among the Übermensch, or Evolved Monsters, in the 'Sweet Home' series. Are there any known Übermensch who have retained their past emotions and identities? toggle section
Indeed, some Übermensch, like Hyun, have maintained elements of their past emotions and identities after evolving. There's also a chance that Hyuk, another evolved entity, may exhibit similar traits. Nevertheless, many Übermensch, including the Female Evolved, seem to have lost their past emotions and identities.

Appearance[]

Übermensch look exactly like their human selves, but with noticeably pale skin and dull eyes. They also appear to be naked upon emerging from their cocoons though some of them can still wear clothes if they want, as shown by Hyun and Hyuk at Shotgun Boy's epilogue chapter.

Abilities[]

Übermensch have displayed the ability to transform humans into monsters at a frightening speed, as seen in the case of Joon having been infected by the “Female Evolved,” with it only taking minutes for him to transform and make his way onto the roof to attack Hyun, Jisu, and the remaining group members who hadn’t yet escaped. The presumed intent of this forced Monsterization is to create more beings capable of becoming evolved.

Weaknesses[]

When hibernating in their cocoons, übermensch are vulnerable to fire as they cannot defend themselves while dormant. They also do not seem to have the regenerative powers seen in monsters as a simple crossbow bolt to the head immediately killed an Übermensch. This makes their deaths relatively similar to those of normal humans.
