Seonyeob Kim (김선엽, Kim Seon-yeop) was a student at Yeongchan High in Class 1. He got killed by 01.
Appearance[]
Seonyeob was a chubby teen who wears glasses. He has a bowl-style haircut.
Personality[]
Seonyeob was a cowardly and submissive boy. He makes excuses up to save himself. He only shows concern for his own well-being, as shown when he assists Seongbin in picking on Gyuhwan so he won't get bullied, as well as tries to steal his shotgun from him.
Despite these flaws he is capable of some bravery such as trying to hold back an MM soldier so Chayeong could run away.
Background[]
Seonyeob was an accomplice in Seongbin's bullying of Gyuhwan, out of fear he would be bullied too. In addition, in Gyuhwan's dream, he got killed by him because of not helping him and being Seongbin's accomplice.
Plot[]
Seonyeob is seen along with other students settling into their retreat.
04 holds Seonyeob hostage
He is present during the talent show when the variants begin their attack. After Gyuhwan comes in and kills one of them with a shotgun, the monster, 04, takes Seonyeob hostage. However, once 04 notices that Gyuhwan is willing to shoot through his own classmate to kill him, he tries to throw the boy at Gyuhwan. Seonyeob is caught by Jayden.
After the monsters retreat, Gyuhwan threatens to shoot all of his class. While Director Lee is telling him that he won't do such a thing, Seonyeob notes that he actually would've shot through him earlier. He stays behind in the lounge with Director Lee, Ms. Kim, Jongpil, Ms. Ahn and two other students, while Gyuhwan's group goes out. Unfortunately, 05 finds their hiding spot and begins to attack, killing the two unnamed students. When Gyuhwan seems unwilling to save his classmates and teachers, Seonyeob pleads that he would've helped him if he could. Gyuhwan eventually decides to save them, giving him and the other survivors the chance to escape.
After escaping, Seonyeob and the Director Lee hide in the woods, waiting for a chance to steal Gyuhwan's shotgun from him. When they pounce at him, Shinyeong quickly knocks him down, but Lee gets his hand on the gun as soon as 04 arrives. He is forced to cower in fear while the other survivors fight the variant. He and Ms. Kim seemingly do nothing while the other survivors head out.
Seonyeob asks Suyeon what they should do, so she angrily tells him she doesn't want to help him and wanted to go somewhere else for retreat. Ms. Kim loses her cool, so Seonyeob grabs her and asks her to calm down. Just then, they are approached by Chayeong Park and the three team up to go to the MM Facilities an hide in the underground bunker Chayeong found out before. When they reach the elevator, they realized it was going up and hide behind some boxes. After the MM soldiers gets out, Ms.Kim run towards them for help and explaining about the monsters. The three of them are tested and the soldiers guides them to a unknown location, he saw the sign indicating that they were heading to the incinerator, wich Ms.Kim also noticed.
Seonyeob gets punched by the soldiers and loses a tooth.
Ms.Kim confronts the soldiers about it and gets punched in the stomach. In her defense, Seonyeob tackles one of the soldiers, yelling at Chayeong to run. He gets hit with the gun, losing a teeth and hiting the floor. He stays on the floor as the soldiers open fire at Gyuhwan and his group, watching Zero stop the bullets. The soldiers retreat, but one of them trows a granade next to Seonyeob, who cries in fear before Suyeon trows herself on top of the granade to protect him.

Relationships[]
Gyuhwan Han[]
Despite being both Seongbin's bully-victims, Seonyeob turned a blind eye when Gyuhwan was being bulled, but he later became weary of him since he was about to shoot him along with 04 when he was used as a human shield. Seonyeob also begged him for his life when 05 proposed him to leave them in order to save himself, claiming that he would have helped him if he could. In addition, Seonyeob tries to steal his shotgun from him to save himself.
Seongbin Yu[]
Seongbin bullies him, albeit not as much as he does to Gyuhwan; also, he does whatever Seongbin tells him to do in order not to be bullied like Gyuhwan.
Director Lee[]
After surviving an attack from 05, the two escape together. Together, they are more detriments to everyone's survival than help. The two try to steal Gyuhwan's shotgun together.
Suyeon Kim[]
As his homeroom teacher, she either didn't notice or didn't care that he was being bullied. After surviving an attack from 04, the two team up together. Unforutnately, the two don't seem to get along well, as Seonyeob cowardly relies on her for help and Suyeon doesn't feel a need to protect him.
Trivia[]
- Until Episode 30, he was referred to as Porky.
- He and Ms. Kim have the same last name, but they're not family (just like with Gyuhwan and Mira).
