Five

Not to be confused with Mira Han

Five (핍스, Pibseu), written as 05, was the first major antagonist of Shotgun Boy. She was one of the Variants experimented on by the MM Corporation. After stealing the identity of Mira Han, she led an attack on the Yeongchan High retreat, carrying on Mira's hatred. Afterwards, she was sent to destroy the phones in the area, but was intercepted by Gyuhwan Han and Shinyeong Kang.

Background[]

Like her partners, 05 was experimented on by the MM Corporation in Area C. Before being designated to move to Area A, 05 and her partners escaped the containment and took over MM-C.

Appearance[]

It's true appearance is implied to be a purple blob of flesh that is small enough to fit in a container, as seen how 04 looked in its final moments. Additionally, 01 refers to it as a female.^[7]

Before taking Mira's appearanace, she presumably took the disguise of a female employee, seeing how she was able to blend in and Mira mistakes her voice for Sujin's, a female student.^[8]

She takes the appearance of Mira Han, possessing most of her features and clothes. However, multiple pink tentacles sprout out of her body, namely her limbs, chest and forehead. The skin around the tentacles appears very veiny. She also usually has a somewhat psychotic smile.

After being decapitated, she appears as just Mira's head, with multiple, leglike tentacle sprouting out of the bottom of her body.

Personality[]

As Mira, 05 appears almost lifeless and shows a lack of emotion. She is able to remember Mira's life without much issue and blend in with her former friends like nothing is wrong, at least to a certain degree. She also seems to feel some of Mira's emotions, such as her hate for Shinyeong.

Five before slaughter — Five's sadistic smile

05 was shown to be a very cruel and sadistic monster, who often reveals a psychotic grin when she is fighting or killing somebody. She considers humans to be inferior beings, thinking the actions they take are pathetic and is very cruel to them enjoys toying with humans before killing them. 05 has also shown to have a lot of pride. Despite her arrogant and cruel demeanor, she has shown to be very resourceful such as removing her leg before the damage could spread throughout her body and again removing her head to prevent the damage from reaching her brain.

Plot[]

05 tracked down Mira Han in the girls bathroom, saying she smelt an electronic cigarette from her. Mira mistook the voice for Sujin Park and asked if it was a prank. 05 then said she loved the smell of it and proceeded to kill Mira; and then, she took her identity.

Pretending to be Mira, she returned to tell Mira's friends that she would quit the talent show they would be in together, which angered them. While walking away, her roommate Hayeong, noticed blood on the back of her neck. Later that night, Hayeong was awakened by "Mira" recalling events of her life out loud and then saying she had memorized it all. She also recalled that there was an awful smell to her.

The next day, "Mira" creepily appeared behind her friends as they were talking about her weird behavior from last night. They scold her for quitting the show last night. "Mira" interjects and says that the show will be incredible and gives a devious grin. "Mira" then started to kill Sujin Park and Junhi Noh, while Hayeong barely got away, but she got killed by Samshik, Five's partner, and 05 argued with her for stealing her prey.

Then, at the talent show, when it was Mira's Miracles turn to sing, only 05 as Mira appeared. 05 announced her plans of genocide and kills the announcer. The students don't believe this is real until she attacks multiple student in the crowd. She and her fellow Variants block off the students' escape and continue to kill them. When 01 is about to kill Shinyeong, she interrupts and says she wants to kill her instead since Mira hated her. Just then, Gyuhwan arrives with a Shotgun. She doesn't remember him. When Gyuhwan proceeds to kill one of her partners, Shinyeong uses this distraction to evade her. After realizing Gyuhwan is a bigger threat then expected, her partners retreat with herself.

01 sends 05 to destroy the remaining phones. On the way, she kills a few students and spots Seongbin along with "Hayeong", but ignores them or doesn't notice. Later, 05 runs into a truck, containing Gyuhwan, Jayden and Shinyeong. Jayden rams into her. She chases after the truck, making it crash by the teacher's lounge. She hears a screaming student inside and decides to head inside. Once entering, she kills a girl trying to escape and the screaming student. Gyuhwan enters the room and threatens to shoot her. She bargains that she will not kill him if he doesn't interfere. This works for a minute, but when she notices him pulling the trigger, she attacks. Outside, she attacks Shinyeong again, but is shot by Gyuhwan. She manages to pull her head off before the venom spreads. The head monster chases them to the archery range. She is tricked, however, and shot to death by Shinyeong, who put the venom into her arrows, no matter it took more seconds than the pellets.

Abilities[]

Superhuman Endurances - Like her partners, she has endurance, strength, and speed beyond human capacity. She is able to keep up with a car.
Tentacles - Like her partners, 05 is able to manipulate multiple strong tentacles throughout her body. These tentacles are strong enough to easily knock over a car. The tentacles can extend at least multiple car lengths. Additionally, they can be used to kill multiple people at once by sending the tentacles in each direction. She can conceal these tentacles as well as relocate them in her body. Furthermore, she can reinforce her body parts with her tentacles, enhancing the body part. For instance, she can turn her leg into a large vine, giving her super speed. Additionally, she can survive with only her head.
Morphing - Like her partners, she can steal other people's identities after eating their brain. She can morph into Mira Han or presumably a camp employee.

Samshik[]

Although Samshik's relationship with most of the MM-C Variants is unknown, she seems to view Samshik as childish and foolish.

Mira Han[]

05 uses Mira as her body to accomplish her goals. While disguised as her and remembering her life, she seems to wish to carry out Mira's desires of revenge.

Shinyeong Kang[]

As Mira's worst enemy, she develops a psychotic hatred towards Shinyeong. On multiple attempts, she tries to kill the girl.

01[]

01 was the leader of her group. When 01 is about to kill Shinyeong, 05 protests that she wants to kill her instead, which 01 obeys and throws her to the monster. After the massacre, 01 sends her to destroy all of the nearby phones. 01 later tries to call it, but can't.
