"LEAVE ME... ALONE...!!!"
Seok Kim was a resident of Green Roof Apartments. He eventually turned into a monster; however, he was killed by his wife, Seon Ahn.
Appearance[]
Seok Kim was a middle aged, overweight man who started balding. He wore a green jacket and sweatpants, carrying a grim expression on him at all times.
As a monster, he grew long, wiry hair. He also had sharp teeth and nails, as well as dark sunken eyes.
Personality[]
Seok Kim was a cruel man. He was incredibly stubborn, impatient, and rude to those around him. He also possessed an extreme inferiority complex, believing everyone around him looked down on him. He was physically and mentally abusive towards his wife. Within his inner dialogue with his inner monster, it is shown that he desperately wanted respect and refused to admit responsibility for his abusive actions. He becomes much more apologetic and humble after he started his monsterization, but was unable to resist it in the end.
Plot[]
Seok Kim is first in the lobby investigating why the building was shuttered with no way in or out. He goes into the security office and raises the shutters, unknowingly letting the Tongue Monster inside. However, after the monster was forced back outside, he manages to close the barrier once again.
Seok Kim is then at the meeting to decide Hyun Cha's fate. He is vehemently opposed to letting him live and is furious at Hyuk Lee, who proposes his fate be decided by democracy. He is incensed further when the vote turns in Hyun's favor. However, he is humbled and apologetic when he shows symptoms of monsterization, not wanting to suffer the fate he was about to prescribe onto Hyun.
He and Hyun are locked in a small closet, but Hyun is eventually allowed to go on a rescue mission. While left alone, he is confronted by his wife Seon Ahn, who also shows sign of monsterization. Seon Ahn had come to kill Seok Kim for the years of violent physical and emotional abuse suffered at the hands of her husband. Seon Ahn, however, holds back. She realized she was turning, but wanted to kill Seok Kim while still human. The remaining survivors stopped Seon Ahn before she could and kept her separated from him. Seok Kim, even after a few hours of isolation, started losing his sanity. He drew smiley faces on the wall of the room.
Seok meets his inner monster
Inside his mind, he was conversing with his inner monster. His inner monster laid out all of Seok's perceived shortcomings and how Seok refused to take responsibility for them. The monster concludes that Seok is so worthless that he does not deserve to become a monster. This, however, causes Seok to beg the monster for guidance and help. This turns him into a monster. Upon discovery, he attempts to attack the other survivors, but Seon Ahn calls out to him and berates him for what he has become. The last shreds of Seok Kim's humanity manages to gain control, and Seok Kim displays some form of remorse. He lets his wife finally get the payback she wanted and kills him.
Monster[]
As a monster, Seok Kim only displayed the early forms of mutation. He had a full head of body length hair, enlarged eyes, red skin, and sharp teeth. Seok Kim was killed before he could display any unique ability.
Relationships[]
Seon Ahn[]
Not much is known about how they met but during their time together, he was mentally and physically abusive towards his wife. He most likely thought she looked down on him so as a result he constantly wanted to be better than her. During his final moments, his inner monster was apologetic and let her kill him as payback for all the torment she went through for him.
