Episode 2 is the second episode of Season 1 of Sweet Home live-action series.
Synopsis[]
As a state of emergency is declared, the residents tie up Pyeon Sang-wook for being bitten. Hyun-su is unable to ignore a family in distress.
Plot[]
While Jisu Yoon keeps an eye on Hyun Cha who fainted after he encountered Wook Pyeon, Eun-yoo Lee went downstairs to find her brother. She trips down the stairs. Wook Pyeon shows up, but she tells him she is resting. The starving woman monster than attacks Wook Pyeon and bites him on the shoulder. He realize it's the one banging on Jisu's door and kills her, saving Eun-yoo's life.
Jisu looks around and finds guy crying and drinking for being blamed by manager Han. As she passes him, his nose bleeds and he attacks Jisu Yoon, but she knocks him out with her bat. Jae-heon Jung warns her to not get close to him or he will kill her. The man then starts to transform and Jae-heon rushes and cuts his top part of the head. A bit after they leave, the now blind Lotus root monster gets back up.
Wook Pyeon and Eun-yoo reach the ground floor entrance, where the residents had blocked the entrance so monsters can't get in. Seeing the bite on Wook Pyeon's shoulder, fearing he may be infected, the residents capture and tie Wook Pyeon. As leader, Seok-hyeon Kim is asked to kill him before Wook Pyeon turns into monster and kill them, however as Seok-hyeon Kim goes to do so, Wook Pyeon beats him and escapes.
Eight hours later, Hyun su wakes up and discovered the world had been in chaos. Feeling hungry, Hyun Cha wonders if his food delivery is still outside in the corridor. He opens his door, but then sees the blind monster entering and complaining it can't see. After keeping quiet, the monster leaves his apartment.
Jae-heon and Jisu find a man that Wook Pyeon had beaten and tied up. They helped him and the man Choi Yoon-jae, said that a burglar came to his house. Hyun Cha wonders if he should kill himself now before he turns into a monster, but then hears a noise outside his window. He sees a man two floors below him, trying to escape through the window and leave his kids to come and get them later. An eye monster appear and causes the man to fall. As the monster starts entering the kids apartment, Hyun Cha gets its attention and the monster gets in his apartment and swirls around him. A neighbor shoots the monster and freed Hyun Chan with an improvised rifle and tells him that the monsters don't die. Wanting to save the kids, Hyun Cha visits his neighbor Dusik Hahn, who is in a wheelchair. Capable of making weapons, he improves Hyun Cha's spear to be able to electroshock the monsters.
Hyun Cha encounters the blind monster, but with the electroshock, he manages to disable it and reach the kids. Going out of the apartment, Hyun Cha nose starts to bleeds again, to protect the kids, he tells them to go and closes the door and stays in the apartment.
