Background[]
Prior to the present day, Dusik was a professional in an unknown occupation. One day, he saved a child from an unknown disaster at the cost of his left leg. While he did not regret losing the leg at the time, he was bound to a wheel chair for the remainder of his life and was unable to perform his job, which led to his firing and his wife and son leaving him. However, so much time has passed that he cannot remember their faces.
Appearance[]
Dusik was a middle aged man with short, combed over brown hair and a tan complexion. He was somewhat overweight, having not exercised properly. His legs did not work properly because they had been amputated. Instead, he lays in a wheelchair.
Personality[]
Dusik was a calm and mature individual. He generally wanted to do the right thing and help others. He sees value in vocational work, such as mechanical skills, and was quite proud of his own talent. He was also creative enough to invent homemade weaponry. The loss of his leg and the resulting loss of lifestyle had haunted him up to his death. He was unafraid of sacrificing himself when the time came.
A recurring theme with Dusik and the other survivors is one's lack of knowledge of the other's pop-culture icons.
Plot[]
Dusik first appears to save Hyun Cha from the Eyeball Monster, and provides the kid with some weaponry to help save some children. He goes out to finish off the Blind Monster, but it recovers from its wounds. Dusik takes a cut on the shoulder, but manages to injure and force the monster to flee. After Hyun successfully rescues other survivors, he outfits them with upgraded weapons.
He takes shelter in his apartment for safety, especially given his missing leg and broken elevators keep him from going anywhere else. Wook Pyeon and Hyun return to bring him to the lobby, which lets him repair the elevator. He then warns Jisu Yoon of the Snail Monster's ambush as the survivors try to clear the garage. He upgrades a car with combat capabilities. At some point Hyuk Lee and Dusik create a risky last-resort plan to escape the apartment, using a makeshift harpoon and rope, in case of extreme emergencies.
When criminals take over the building, Dusik is appraised of the situation. He then runs into Gapsu Seo. The two have a disagreement, which leads to Gapsu attempting to kill Dusik. Dusik, however, is saved by Byeong-Il. He manages to keep the emergency plan a secret from the gang. However, when Dusik hears a monster horde is overrunning the barricades, he agrees the plan should be put to action. Dusik offers to sacrifice himself to hold the monsters back and secretly reveals to Hyuk that he is infected. After they leave, Dusik notes, with some disappointment, that his desire was to simply get his leg back. He stands up for the first time in years, vowing to not let a monster through. He blows up the basement to hold them off. Hyun, having heard of Dusik's decision, arrives. However, Dusik notes he is too late, but is brought to tears that someone ran back to save him. He succumbs to his injuries and and falls unconscious, only to reawaken as a monster moments later.
Dusik simply just stands and observes Hyun talk with the Mysterious Man. However, when Hyun moves to attack the man, Dusik leaps and kicks Hyun in the back. Hyun then prepares to fight Dusik, but Dusik is tackled away by Wook Pyeon. The monster is able to charge at Wook and severely dents Wook's shield, but Wook activates its strobe and blinds the monster, allowing Wook to throw it away. Wook says a few parting words to Dusik before impaling and pinning Dusik to the floor, letting the flames in the burning basement consume him.

Abilities[]
Mechanical Expertise: Ever since losing his leg, Dusik has learned how to craft various tools to keep himself useful. During the monster apocalypse, he has crafted several weapons to help the Survivors defend themselves. He does warn the weapons alone are not enough to kill them, and they are better avoided. His inventions include:
- Hyun's Spear: Dusik outfitted Hyun with a spear using a kitchen knife and broomstick. It is hooked to a powerful battery which lets Hyun electrocute whatever it stabs. This is enough to stun monsters and ignite gasoline.
- Jisu's Bat: Dusik upgraded Jisu's bat to have several nails sticking out of it, upgrading its power.
- Shield: Dusik gave Jayhun a shield to compliment his sword. The shield has a strobe light built in, which will unleash a blinding light with the flip of a switch. Wook eventually uses it after Jayhun's death.
- Armored Car: Dusik outfitted a car in the garage with additional armor. He also built in flamethrowers and an armor ejection system for getaways. This is necessary because the additional upgrades will significantly slow the car down, and the ejection system will get rid of the extra weight. The flamethrowers are on a limited fuel supply. However, the car was not powerful enough to stop the Steroid Monster.
Monster[]
Dusik's innermost desire to be with his family as well as his regret over losing his leg turned him into a monster. Dusik's monster form largely retains the former human appearance due to the recency of the transformation. However, Dusik's sclera is turned red with the left eye grossly enlarged. The monster had regrown Dusik's missing left leg, which is disproportionately more muscular than the other leg. This goes into the monster's ability, which is an extremely powerful kick. The impact of one kick alone nearly broke Hyun Cha's spine were it not for Hyun's regenerative ability. Wook Pyeon, being physically stronger than Hyun and having a shield, is able to block the kick and throw the monster away. Based on Dusik's regret over his family leaving him, whenever someone leaves the monster, the monster will cry out for them to come back.
