ALL SEASON ONE APPEARANCES[]

Episode 1[]

A month before September 2020 Cha Hyun-Su, arrives at Green Home Mansion Apartment. Alone and shy, acting standoffish with the security guy outside cutting the lawn. All settled in his apartment, he sits in darkness contemplating whether he should just die or not, Hyun-Su eventually heads up to the rooftop and looks over the edge. However, he’s distracted by Lee Eun-Yu, who advises him not to die as it would cause a lot of problems for everyone else in the building. Later, Hyun-Su learns that he’s been selected as a tester for an upcoming new video game, but the day he was supposed to try this new video game coincides with his scheduled suicide date, 25th August.

One evening, Hyun-Su finds his delivery parcel all over the corridor outside, leading directly to his starving neighbor’s blood-soaked room, where he saw the bloody collar of the owner's cat. He cowers back to his room, but she promptly arrives at his peephole after he has locked himself inside his apartment. She tells him that her cat has gone and pleads with him to open up his door. Hyun-Su says he will call the police, but no-one answered, and he checked back on his nextdoor neighbor, secretly the Starving Monster. She begs for food, and this hit Hyun-Su like a lightbulb, making him suspicious of her eating her own pet cat. When he asks to see her arms to check if there is blood on her hands, she completely goes crazy, and yells for him to open his door, screaming "I'm hungry! Hungry! Hungry...". She hears Sang'Wook approaching, and in fear, scurries away as blood oozes from her nose. As he heads outside to look for the woman, he finds Sang-Wook who’s standing in the hallway and passes out right in front of him.

Later while Hyun-Su looks at the burning city from his apartment window, his nose starts bleeding.

Episode 2[]

Hours later, after fainting, Hyun-Su wakes up and is hungry. He opens the door to see if the food package is still in the doorway, but upon opening the door, the Blind Monster walks inside the apartment, reaching out, saying he "can't see" but he has very good hearing. It was a close call, because moments later, after Hyun-Su reached slowly to grab a mop, the Blind Monster heard him and stumbles toward the noises, saying: "I hear you". In fear, Hyun-Su stops dead in his tracks, paralyzed from fear of the Blind Monster finding him. Hyun-Su quickly covers his mouth to silence his breathing, making it harder to hear him, his eyes wide. As the Blind Monster is a heartbeat away from finding Hyun-Su, it walks out, still unable to see.

Later, Hyun-Su thinks he should kill himself before he turns into a monster, but he hears one man and his two children. He cautiously peeks from his window and spots the man telling his kids he'll be back with food to feed them all. But before he gets two steps, his kids scream "Monster, daddy! MONSTER!" and the dad looks over his shoulder, seeing a huge eyeball monster. It surprises the father, causing him to fall from the 12th floor. The Eye Monster goes into the kids' apartment, and the sister screams for it to leave them alone. In shock, Hyun-Su grabs a computer and throws it on the monster. It looks up at him, and Hyun-Su dives into his room, but the Eye Monster quickly follows him. It ties up Hyun-Su with its long body and tightens itself, nearly killing him by suffocation. But a bullet goes through the air and kills the Eye Monster, freeing Hyun-Su. He watches it turn to stone, and he checks what did it. Outside, he sees a neighbor armed with a rifle. The man grabs a poster and writes in Korean: "Those things don't die. Now, do you want to save the kids?" Hyun-Su nods, agreeing with the message. Hyun-Su grabs a mere mop and ties a kitchen knife to it, and opens his neighbor's door. His name is Han Du-Sik, a weapon engineer in a wheelchair. Du-Sik improves Hyun-Su's "weapon", making it capable of electrocuting and stunning monsters by pressing a button. Being thankful, Hyun-Su goes to rescue the children two floors below.

A while later, Hyun-Su meets up with the Blind Monster, but manages to stun it by shocking it with the electrocuting spear. He finally reaches the kids and tells them that Du-Sik will take care of them, but since the kids don't know him, he refers to Du-Sik as "the man". When they exit the apartment, Hyun-Su's nose starts to bleed, and he tells the kids to escape, shutting a door behind them.

They both rescue Hyun-Su and escape.

When the kids meet the Blind Monster, they cover their mouths as quick as possible, remembering a flashback: "Along the way, you might meet a monster who's half-headed and can't see, but he has really good hearing, despite his sliced off right ear. If you see him, cover your mouths, and don't move."

When the voting ended, one half of the residents voted for Hyun-Su to stay, but the other half wanted Hyun-Su out. The last paper had both on it, and X over an O. However, it was invalid, so the person who wrote it voted an X to let Hyun-Su stay. Not wanting to accept this, Seok-Hyeon's nose bleeds, and everyone stares. Hyun-Su picks up an O card, saying, "If I cast my vote, will he be kicked out too?". Angered, Seok-Hyeon tries to object, but by now, Hyun-Su's eyes are black, shocking everyone in the room.
